“The ordering process and shipping was smooth. CU clearly stated their policies for the item I purchased which was on outlet, so they did not offer free returns or refunds other store credit after a restocking fee, unless you bought a voucher at checkout then you can get free return shipping and credit w/o the restocking fee. I took a gamble because I have purchased shoes from them before and the quality is good. Unfortunately I lost and was just highly disappointed with the shoes I purchased, which were claimed as a museum brown color but it was more just dark brown. Even having the shoes in direct sunlight there was no “natural” patina that museum brown usually has. They did state the shoe was discontinued because the leather was dark but the pictures online of the color didn’t really match what I received and now I’m kinda stuck with these shoes.”

We did note on the product page that this particular leather came out darker than our usual Museum Brown, and that this was the reason for the discontinuation of the model. That said, we understand how expectations based on photos can differ, especially with nuanced leathers like museum finishes.
Regarding your comments on returns and store credit: you're absolutely right, and we appreciate you highlighting that our policies were clearly communicated during checkout. Our intention with the optional return voucher is precisely to give customers added flexibility if they’re unsure about an outlet or final-sale item. While we’d love to offer free returns to everyone, managing inventory and two-way shipping has real costs — and rather than raise prices for all, we prefer to only apply those costs when a return is needed.
