I never write reviews but in this instance I feel I should. I had modest expectations of the mower as our garden is close to the 400cm2 and on a slope. In a word it’s brilliant! Easy setup and easy to use. Has way exceeded my expectations.

I purchased this as a bit of an experiment and based on other reviews. Setting up was ok although the exact placing of the boundary wire took several attempts of trial and error. I was expecting the blade span to be closer to the edge of the mower than it actually is. This means there will always be an area of uncut grass at the border which is a shame. Getting the mower to effectively dock for charging 100% of the time also takes some fine tuning. The cut itself is good. Basically it’s razor blades underneath so delivers a very clean cut. The biggest problem however is in the wheel design. The wheel tread is big, which gives good traction but the clearance between the wheel and wheel arches is tiny. What I have observed is that it is far too easy for the wheel to pick up something like a small pine cone, which then gets jammed it the wheel arches. This causes the mower to jam and get stuck until you come and stop it and manually remove the obstruction. I don’t have many cones on my lawn beyond what the squirrels bring but the mower is very good at finding them and getting stuck. I’ve had the mower just over 1 week and unfortunately have had to manually intervene 4 times so far. I think if the mower had shallower tread or more clearance then this could be avoided.

4 stars because it is too early to guage all the functionality but after a week all is good. A margin of 15cm guide wire to boarder will leave an unmown section but we have installed as instructed. Quiet in operation. Great value entry to robot mowers. We call him Sean (which probably tells you something!)

I've had it for about a week and am still setting out the boundary. As the wire needs to be taught you have to get it in the right place first time. However I have spare wire so I might add some. The buttons need a firm push, so sometimes it doesn't do what I intended. I don't regret buying it, It's just a case of getting used to it.

Seems a good lawnmower but after sales service ZERO Emailed and phoned as I could not locate ON/OFF switch I expected it to be located on the panel under the flap not underneath the machine behind the rotor blades. Did not get a reply after a week so located it myself booklet not helpful, That is the problem buying online no human touch. Setting up the machine not difficult. J O'Donovan

I love this lawn mower, I wish I had bought one years ago! It has saved me so much time, it's brilliant. I have named him Lando, because of his black/orange McLaren colours, and he's now part of the family. He only works part-time, 4 hours a day, but that's enough for our size garden, but of course he can work many more hours if needed. I would definately recommend a Lando to anyone with a fair size garden and has little time available to keep it trim. Didn't take long to put the wire around the border, just make sure the base station is along a suitable length of garden to allow the 1 metre straight line for the mower to reverse out and turn left and the 1 metre at the front so it can complete cutting the border edges properly. A great mower at a good price. Go Lando!!
