“With no experience of using a battery-operated trimmer, it's difficult to make a good decision, particularly in the 'as cheap as possible' bracket. However the website inspired confidence and certainly, the trimmer has a good feel about it. I was concerned about the T-handle type grip, but it's not restrictive and easy to get a good reach with. Power-wise it hasn't shown any difficulties with any of the hedges I've attempted - there's negligible slowing of the motor under load, with just less progress of cutting when hitting the dense stuff. A double-sided blade is helpful for multiple passes. Lleylandii is of course another matter - be prepared to take several cuts to get a resonable finish - a mains or petrol-powered trimmer is needed for this, unless it's a small trim that's required. Only gripe? There's no battery status light and even more minor - no holes to hang it from a nail.”

“Received this item a few days ago and am very impressed thus far. It does exactly what you'd expect it to do, quietly and efficiently. The smallish battery lasts quite a while, surprisingly. I have a substantial mature hedge of some girth so it requires substantial maintenance, if there was a downside to this product, its not the trimmer itself, but for my own purposes a 4Ah battery would be preferable. One of these is en route to me as I write this. Combine the two and together this will become a very useful tool.”

“I love my lawnmower and strimmer. I was excited by adding to my gardening tools with this hedge trimmer. I must say it cuts really well!!! Powered by the powerful interchangeable batteries. However the safety features make it annoyingly cumbersome, and I found the 3 power controls hard to keep an a reliable power flow. Which means if I'm cutting high, I have to get my old Bosch out of the shed, which is really annoying.”

“It does the job. Very light so helpful when stretching up and around. Doesn't go well through thicker branches on a hedge. Battery lasts more than 35 min as described. But when trimming a hedge you trim a bit and stop the trimmer and move to the next section, so you don't have the trimmer on continuously.”
