“Got lawnmower fine. Hasn’t worked at all and have had my previous robot lawnmower for 12+ years. So disappointed doesn’t cut and never finds base and found in random places all the time. GPS light flashes all the time.”

“Good, though using it unscheduled is not particularly easy. I think one gets what one pays for. Edges definitely need to be heavily defined, and I will order more magnetic tape to help with this. I have wide gravel paths surrounding the lawn, but the mower has still managed to escape on to them at times, as it seems not to be able to recognize the boundaries quite as well as I had hoped. Keeping the base station out and uncovered is not practical throughout most of the year, with climate change bringing more and heavier rain. I have no wish to have the grass mown every day, and even every other day is not necessary, but it is difficult to override the schedule. I probably should have bought a more expensive model which would have been easier to tune to my wishes. However, I am satisfied for the money that I paid that it does what I want, even if I do have to persuade it sometimes!”

“Temperamental, won’t return to base, often just spins on one piece of lawn. Customer service yet to resolve telling me that shadows from trees, bushes and buildings could be impacting it…..”

“Did a bit of research on budget friendly robot mowers and decided to go with the OcoMow AMB16-400 after reading reviews. Only had it a couple of weeks but the results are outstanding. After day one I was thinking, what have I done? There were stripes everywhere. But as soon as day four the grass looks better than what it did with my old petrol mower. There were a couple of narrow areas that it struggled to negotiate and eventually got stuck in. Pegged the magnetic strip down to create n go zones and problem solved. It’s actually very relaxing just watching the mower go about its business. I can’t recommend this mower enough on what I have found so far. No set up needed, install base station, charge and go. Brilliant”

“This just about functions. It can't find the lawn unless it lives on top of it. It has never once made it back onto the charging station even when the charging station was on the lawn. It finds more or less any reason possible to get stuck, jammed, fall off the lawn or tear up the mud. But if you place it down on the grass, watch over it and are prepared to carry it back to the charging station then it technically does it's job. I would have returned it after the first day or so but the company won't take returns if the box has been opened. Of course it isn't possible to know that it's a subpar product without opening the box. So I guess they got me there.”
