“The new remote I purchased was inoperative on arrival. The unit had no power and could not be used with my vacmaster fan. I contacted Cleva support requesting a new, functioning remote and offered to return the inoperative one. Cleva kindly refunded my purchase cost immediately. Whilst I was grateful for their prompt action I still do not have a working remote for my fan. The fact that I could control it whilst riding my exercise bike without having to get off was one of the reasons I purchased the vacmaster in the first instance. The fan itself is great. The remote having had to check inside to see if there was a battery in the newly purchased remote is not very well made, I sad to say. However I would still like a working remote for my fan. I'm just not sure it would be worth ordering another remote control unit in the event that too doesn't work. The battery inside is a size I've not seen before too. Other than that Cleva support were very good to a point. Yes, I was refunded promptly but that hasn't solved my problem.”

“Expensive to purchase and would not work. I had it replaced under warranty and that would not work either. In the end I took one apart and found the battery was flat. I sourced a spare and it’s fine now but this was another £5 on top. The original would not reassemble after opening hence the request for a replacement.”

“Great addition to the fan, allows you to change the speed remotely when on the turbo trainer or treadmill. Also allows you start an activity with the fan off then can turn it on once you warm up. No more starting with a freezing air blasting at you or shouting the wife or kids to turn the fan on because you forgot to put it on before a session or Zwift race!”
