Lake Country - Ultimate German Applicator
These Ultimate German Applicators by Lake Country are very much like their Sonus counterparts. They comprise a dual sided oval shaped applicator ideal for both polishing and finishing paint by hand.
Using the same foam as found in some of their machine polishing pads they comprise a harder white polishing and thinner red finishing foam. The thicker white side is a pre-polymer (non exploded) cell structure which is designed to specifically work with all modern polishes. The pad is firm enough to allow polishes to be worked agressively enough to actually break the polish down reducing the risk of dullness and hazing. We have found it possible to use polishes that traditionally had to be applied by machine by hand using this pad!
The thinner red side incorporates a reticulated (exploded) 99% open cell structure.This makes it absolutely perfect for applying thin even coats of waxes and sealants.
Use these pads for polishing and applying sealants and glazes.

“I cannot heap sufficient praise on these pads. German yes but made in the USA; tis the only bit I cannot get the head round. For fine polishing by hand or a flip over to white side for slightly better fine scratch removal. I use this with mostly Megs 105 and 205, oh and the Britemax black max, ahh yes Blackfire as well, oh not forgetting … and so it goes on. For the price I do not believe a better pad exists; if it does I've not found it and believe me I have tried lots. I don't use for wax but I guess you could; I prefer fingers and hands, getting jiggy with the car up close and personal. Awesome just awesomely amazing pads from probably the best specialist detailing company in the world. No blushing fellas.”

“A nice applicator it applies the polish evenly to the body work and is the right shape to hold in the hand as well. You can squeeze it into smaller tighter areas if you need to and it will retain its shape afterwards.”

“Superb product, I was able to polish the whole car in the same time it usually takes to do the roof and bonnet using stockinette. You don't get the polish all over your hands either.”

“..FANTASTIC PRODUCT.. Had this for a while now, and only got round yo using it yesterday. Used the red side to apply Collinite No. 845 - Insulator Wax, went on a treat, used a lot less wax than the microfiber sponges. To less time to, a treat to use.. I reckon the White side will be good for applying paint cleaner, as it is slightly firmer.. Will be buying some more of these when they are back in stock..”
