Tuf Shine - Tyre Shine Kit

The Tuf Shine - Tyre Shine Kit is a complete set of Tuf Shine products designed to deep clean and dress tyres for a high gloss deep shine with unmatched durability from a tyre dressing.

Most other tire dressing products are designed to lubricate the rubber, but it washes off or evaporates over time. When this happens, protection is lost and it's then necessary to repeatedly apply dressings to maintain the desired shine and protection. To maintain a "wet" look with other products you have to constantly clean and apply dressings. Heavy-duty cleaners are required to remove the residue build-up used by most silicone-based dressings. Constant cleaning with harsh chemicals can remove factory lubricants that are built into the tire's sidewalls and removing them can cause cracking and dry rot. Tuf Shine has taken a different approach, which is the opposite of competitors. Tuf Shine uses a semi-permanent coating that truly bonds to the rubber and provides long lasting gloss. This amazing water based formula is great for your tires and it doesn't evaporate or fade in high temperatures.

Included in the Tuf Shine Kit is the fantastic Tuf ShineTyre cleaner. Simply spray this on allow to dwell for 30-60 seconds and then agitate with the Tuf Shine Tyre Cleaning Brush and rinse off. Repeat these steps until the foam is clear meaning the tyres are completely free from previous tyre dressing, dirt and grime.

Then using the included sponge apply a nice thin coat of the Tuf Shine Tyre Clearcoat and allow 5 minutes to dry. You can layer the Tuf Shine Clearcoat to create your required level of gloss. One coat leaves a factory fresh look, whilst 3+ coats create a wet looking high gloss shine. Once the coating has dried, it will not sling, discolour and is of course completely dry to the touch protecting the rubber from dirt grime and damaging UV light.

Simply wash the sponge in clean water then it's ready for when you want to apply another layer every couple of months or when the coating gets scuffed.

“Even after washing the wheels and tyres with an aggressive HSC, the Tuf Shine cleaner brought a load more dirt off the tyres. Really good tyre cleaner. Applied 4 coats of Tuf Shine to get a great gloss finish. Now will see how long it lasts.”

“I tested this product with a really old tyre stored for like 5 years, it was very dirty. Took me several times to clean the tyre completely with the product, which is compreensive. The result of sealing it, took me a bit more (like 5 coats) but the result is there and is perfect.”

“I'm not convinced by the instructions as I seemed to have to give the tyres a good scrub while still spraying more cleaner on, rather than the scrub, rinse, repeat method they suggest. Eventually I think they cleaned up ok, but not as good as I was expecting. After I dried them, I ran a cloth over them to see if I had removed all the previous dressing, and still it came up a bit dirty, despite numerous attempts at cleaning and scrubbing. That said, I then let them dry, and they did seem to be a dullish colour, so I figured I must be back on track, so I carried on. The latter stages are far simpler; the dressing seemed to go on very easily with the handy little sponge. I opted for two coats and the finish seemed good. I'll try and update the post once it has been on a while to see how it is lasting/performing.”

“I Used this product on two cars. Very impressed at the final results. The first car needed 5 cleans with the cleaner before full removal of silicon (showing white suds). The other car only needed two cleans. I applied two coats of the dressing on both cars and it is dry to the touch with absolutely no sling. I am very impressed, but time will tell. It certainly feels and looks different to the normal silicone coatings. Buying the kit gave me all the cleaner I needed to do the eight tyres 8 times and I have plenty of the cleaner left over. I hardly used any of the protective coating which will last a very long time. The sponge applicator and stiff brush provided in the kit will also last a very long time.”
