Sonus Ultra Fine Clay - 100g Refill
Sonus Ultra Fine Detailing Clay is a new cleaning system that safely and gently removes even the most stubborn paint-toxic pollutants. Sonus Ultra Fine Detailing Clay removes embedded soil through microscopic polishing that removes the dirt without touching the paint.
Traditional detailing clays are designed to remove heavy contamination. They work by sheering off dirt particles on the surface of your paint. The more aggressive the clay, the heavier the contamination load it can handle. The most aggressive grades of clay should only be used by a trained professional, as improper use will cause clear coat damage.
Sonus Ultra Fine Detailing Clay is so fine that it will not leave microscopic scratches. It cannot be over used. In fact, Sonus SFX Ultra Fine Detailing Clay is so fine that it will not remove most waxes.
Use Sonus SFX Ultra Fine Detailing Clay regularly to remove:

Road grime (tar, grease, tire rubber)
Bug and bird remains
Rail and brake dust
Fine paint overspray
Road salts
Hard water deposits
Factory fallout and acid rain

I Used to use Meguiars clay bar.. Havent noticed any difference with this clay bar. Used it on my Black brand spanking new Cmax, Didnt leave a single scratch and removed a few unknown hidden tar spots and certainly made a difference even to the new paintwork. Brilliant bit of stuff.. . Id say you could even cut it in half.

As a first time user I didn't know what to expect. I had seen videos on the internet and whatnot and so was prepared to have my shot at claying. The clay is fairly hard to begin with but needs kneading in order to start to make it more malleable. After applying it to the body of my car I was amazed at how much contaminant it was able to pull off. It does last a fair while too despite me re-kneading it frequently in order to reveal a clean area. The end result was great and the paint was very smooth although I would say if you think your car is heavily soiled then I suggest getting a medium clay as I used this on a fairly clean vehicle. Great for beginners!

Having used a couple of others makes of clay I was after trying the gentlest one because I had problems in the past with the clay being too aggressive and leaving very fine scratches or micro marring - I didn't want that - so I thought I'd give this stuff a try. It is good - It can give you the nice results BUT you have to be very careful with it... I used this on a new Renault Clio RS 200 in silver - I read another review on a different site by a guy who said that he wouldn't buy it again because it was so gentle it didn't even remove the old wax - wrong - I don't know what planet he's living on... Using Dodo Born Slippy this clay's capacity to 'grab' bonded surface contaminants in one pass is amazing - the problem is that if you then move back over the same line those contaminants that have now stuck to the surface of the clay scratch you paintwork - After just one pass! There is another problem too - if you apply any pressure to the clay you will incur micro marring. This was on a Renault so you might very well get different results on a BMW, Ford or Ferrari but to be safe the way that this clay works best is if you apply no pressure at all to it and make one pass over the paintwork then re need the clay - one pass is all it usually takes and you've got perfectly smooth paint - I've got a metallic/mica black roof as well but there's no way I'm claying that - it'll show everything! Get this clay - it really is good but be very careful as to what technique you use - go light, gentle and slow and it'll give you very good results.

I have never used clay before and was a little scared. I used Megs All Purpose Cleaner (diluted) as a lubricant spray and the two products worked great together. You can feel the clay 'grab' the bonded contaminates and then they are gone. I didn't noticed any marks or scratches from the clay as it was so fine. Easy to use and good results. I now have a super smooth paint finish.
