R222 Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser

Unlock maximum gloss from your protection. R222 Paintwork Cleanser gently removes old wax residues, light oxidation, traffic film and minor staining, leaving paint ultra-smooth and optically clear so your wax or sealant can bond evenly and look its best. The non-abrasive formula is clear-coat safe, spreads easily and wipes off clean with no heavy dust—ideal as the final step after washing and decontamination or before show prep.

Detailers and chemists agree that maximum shine can only be achieved if the surface is properly prepared before waxing. Using R222 paintwork cleanser prior to waxing will gently remove swirl marks, water spots and pollution residues, microscopic dirt and film that gets embedded in the paint or clearcoat.

Using a paintwork cleaner before waxing will make a big improvement in gloss levels as well as making the job easier.

F*CK me, I'm not one for properly cleaning and polishing a car, however I recently got a new metalic black car and I'm not sure what cheap crap they put on it but road grime and brake dust etc just seem to embed itself. Even powerwashing the car wouldn't shift it. R222 paintwork cleanser though Wow. I almost didn't wax the car, it cut right through everything and left the car looking like it just rolled out the factory with a mirror finish. Took about 10-15 mins to cover the whole car thoroughly (large saloon) and all of five to wipe off. Similarly impressed with the wax. Absolutely amazing result, my car is shining like a mirror, no swirl marked etc just a crisp high definition finish. Well impressed and I'll be recommending to friends who are car washing enthusiasts.

here.. I do not usually write reviews but I have to make an exception in this case. I have been using R222 carnauba wax for a long time and I have always been impressed by the deep shine it produces. However I have always struggled to get completely rid of traffic film etc before applying the polish. All the popular range of cutting pastes left much to be desired. I found R222 paintwork cleanser while looking around online for alternatives. The reviews were excellent. This of course always makes me a bit sceptical. However based on my experience of the carnauba wax from the same manufacturer I gave it a try. It is an astonishing product. It removed years of film and haze, particularly on the roof of my car (MGB GT sprayed in two pack paint 25 years ago). It did not require loads of elbow grease and the process was very easy. With a coat of the carnauba wax on top the car now looks stunning. Pricey but well worth every penny!

I did a full wash after the crud of winter had built up which included claying, iron and tar removal. I found that the result from a hand polish alone was very good. There are marks it couldn't remove and i would imagine a machine polish would be even better. Very impressed with this product and the results. I had bought this based on reviews i had read and after using it i would agree with those reviews. One word of caution though it is incredibly runny. I also found that inhad used half a bottle doing my car so conceivably if you had a large 4 by 4 you would use the whole bottle.

I hand applied this on a White BMW 335D for a test after a 4 stage clean and then waxed using R222, really good finish, more depth (as much as you can get on a white car). Very glossy wet look, would recommend to others :@)

Brilliant product to use! Very easy to use as well, applied with Meguiars microfibre applicator pad and buffed off to leave a glossy wet looking finish! Highly recommend!
