DAS-6 PRO Plus Meguiars Hex Logic Kit

The DAS-6 Pro Plus Meguiars Hex-logic kit is the ideal kit for a variety of paints. Meguiars #105 has a high level of cut so can correct scratches and swirls even in fairly tough paint, whist the #205 in the kit has the ability to really refine and bring up the gloss on all paints. It also comes supplied with the latest generation of Chemial Guys Quantum Pads, developed for use on a dual action car polisher. This is a great little introductory kit into the world of machine polishing.

The all new DAS-6 PRO Plus v2, now featuring a 1000w motor, improved internals and new body design, we believe is quite simply is the best random orbital car polisher available on the market today.

We've taken the standard DAS-6 PRO and improved it with a all new body design and larger 15mm throw. The results are simply a more ergonomic machine which not only runs smoother, but polishes faster. The unique 15mm throw we feel is the optimum throw for a dual action polisher. Whilst remaining extremely useable it's possible to cover more surface area, effectively removing more swirls, sctaches and holograms faster and with less effort. Not only that but because of the larger orbit the machine has noticebly less vibration compared to other dual action polishers.

Meguiars #105 Ultra Cut Compound (M10508)
Meguiars #105 cuts out a lot of finishing work; for professional detailers, it saves time and money, Meguiars 105 uses exclusive, super-micro abrasive technology that effectively levels blemishes and leaves a nearly wax-ready finish. Unlike traditional compounds that leave compounding swirls, Meguiars Mirror Glaze #105 Ultra-Cut Compound leaves a deep shine with very few swirl marks. A quick pass with a finishing polish will completely restore the shine and prepare the paint for wax or sealant.

Meguiars #205 Ultra Finishing Polish (M20508)
This finishing polish uses advanced technology to produce a deep gloss and rich, swirl-free results. Meguiars #205 is a fine car polish uses Meguiar's Super Micro Abrasive Technology. Designed for use after M105 Ultra-Cut Compound.

Chemical Guys Orange Quantum 5.5 Hex pad is a firm, high density foam and is ideal for scratch and defect removal. The Orange hex logic pad offers the correction of a typical compounding pad whilst at the same time allowing the polishing ability of light cut foam pad. When used with heavier compounds it will remove moderate swirls and scratches with little or no haze. It is an all around pad that will work on most light to moderate imperfections.

Chemical Guys WhiteQuantum 5.5 Hex medium light polishing pad is a less dense foam formula for the application of micro-fine polishes, waxes, and sealants.

“Been meaning to buy one of these for a long time now, so when my brand new Ford Ranger had to go back to the dealership for some warranty work, they kindly left me a bundle of hazy scratches on the paint work (must of wiped the car down with a yard broom!), this was now the reason to buy one… Anyways, after a lot of complaining, I decided the car was best not going back for these clowns to fix and decided to have a crack myself… Why o why hadn’t I bought the Das Pro Plus before now?!?!? Although a little scared to over buff at the outset, I soon found you’d have to go a long way to cause more damage than was already on the car…. This is so easy to use and the results are fantastic! All I want to do is correct paint now, with the older other truck next on the list ”

“I had been meaning to buy a Das-6 for a number of years. Since owning my latest vehicle, it had go back into the main dealer for some warranty bodywork repairs and although they fixed the problem, during the process they managed to put a raft of hazy scratches on it in the process, I presume they wiped it down dry before, or during the repairs - this is a brand new vehicle!!!. Anyways, this made me decided to purchase the Das Pro Plus to get rid of the mess they left me and I have to say, I should of bought this years ago! Its easy to use and leave fantastic results... I highly recommend this package!”

“Excellent machine for the price. Balanced and strong enough for any task. CG pads are premium quality pads, I suggest you prime them a bit before usage. Meguiars m105 compound set on 5.5 speed gives optimal results, and m205 on 4.5 for gloss imho. Service provided by cyc staff is a+”

“Be aware I am a newbie at this so my opinions / conclusions may be totally wrong. The machine itself does cause vibration. More than I expected as this machine says its the least vibrating one but then again it is the only machine I have ever used. Nice feel to the polisher, balance seems fine while polishing, construction feels good. The instructions mention using the supplied wrench to change the backing pad but they mean supplied allen key. Would have been nice if the pads could be changed without a tool but a very minor point. Cable length good and not restrictive. The machine can be sat upside down on the D shaped handle when not in use but a little precarious. A simple plastic stand to hold the pad off the floor would have been a nice touch for a top of the range machine. The meguirs polish did give a perfect mirror finish but the hex logic pads I feel wasted a lot of polish in the ridges and also added to the vibration (particularly when using just the edge at slow speed on tricky areas )but without a normal pad to compare I could be wrong about that. I wish I had ordered a normal pad as well or instead of these. The instructions make no mention of a manufacturer (das?) or do not give a manufacturers address or contact details for warranty problems. The cg hex pads (chemical guys) are american (did not know that before ordering) No instructions of what to do with the pads after use, one assumes they should be cleaned?”

“I have a dark coloured F10 BMW and always thought the body work was clean of swirls and marks, then while under the light of a petrol station forecourt I could all the swirls. Having read around a lot on the topic of machine polishing, watching hours of youtube, I decided on DAS-6, and although a little nervous at first I am pleased with the results. As long as you take your time, start with the least cutting polish (I only used the 205) and follow the advise from sites like this then you will be very pleased with your results (I went back to the same petrol station, and although some swirls still exist the vast majority are gone).”
