Polar Blast should be used as the first stage of a safe wash routine. After rinsing loose dirt, apply snow foam and allow it to dwell before rinsing thoroughly. Follow with a pH-neutral shampoo such as a dedicated car shampoo and wash mitt to complete the contact wash stage.
For best results, use a quality snow foam lance to achieve thick, even coverage across the vehicle.
Dilution & Application
Add Polar Blast to your foam lance bottle (typically 100ml–200ml depending on desired thickness).
Top up with water and adjust the lance for foam consistency.
Apply evenly from bottom to top.
Allow to dwell (do not let dry).
Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Pre-wash strength should be adjusted via lance dilution rather than excessive product use.

Polar Blast is one of those snow foams we like for regular washes because it’s genuinely easy to live with. We get a nice, rich foam blanket, good cling, and it does a solid job of softening road grime before we go anywhere near the paint with a mitt — which is really the whole point of snow foam in the first place.
Technically, we like that it’s pH neutral, so we can use it on protected cars without worrying about it flattening wax or sealant performance. Autoglym position it primarily as a pre-wash stage, and we treat it the same way: foam on, let it dwell (up to around 10 minutes if conditions allow), then rinse thoroughly. We don’t bother agitating it as a rule — we’d rather let the chemistry do the work and keep things as contact-free as possible.
Dilution-wise it’s flexible depending on your lance and water hardness, but we’ve found it works well anywhere from neat through to roughly 1:10, with a mid-range mix being a good starting point. After that, we simply follow up with a proper shampoo wash to finish the job safely.
