Auto Finesse Oblitarate | Tar, Glue & Resin Remover

Auto Finesse Oblitarate is a professional-strength, solvent-based formula designed to tackle the most stubborn bonded contaminants that regular washing simply cannot touch. Engineered to safely dissolve tar, adhesive residue, and tree sap, Oblitarate eliminates the need for aggressive scrubbing, which can lead to swirl marks and paint marring.

This powerful decontamination liquid works by breaking down the chemical structure of oil-based contaminants. Whether you are dealing with thick road tar splashes on lower sills, sticky residue from old wheel weights, or stubborn bug splatter, Oblitarate liquefies the bond, allowing you to wipe the contamination away with ease. It is an essential step in the decontamination process before claying or applying fresh protection.

Powerful Solvent Formula for Deep Decontamination

Dissolves Contaminants on Contact: Quickly liquefies road tar, bitumen, and rubber scuffs, making them easy to remove without mechanical force.
Efficient Adhesive Removal: The ideal solution for removing sticky residue left behind by vinyl wraps, badges, or old wheel weights.
Multi-Surface Versatility: Safe for use on modern painted surfaces, powder-coated wheels, glass, and bare metal finishes.
Pre-Polishing Essential: Removes oil-based residues that can clog clay bars and polishing pads, ensuring a cleaner working surface.

Technical Specifications

Product Type: Heavy-Duty Solvent-Based Decontaminant
Safe Surfaces: Paintwork, Glass, Metal, and Powder-Coat
Primary Targets: Tar, Glue, Adhesive, Tree Sap, and Fuel Spills

Pro Tip: Oblitarate is a strong solvent and will strip any existing waxes or sealants. Always ensure the area is re-washed or wiped down with a quick detailer after use to neutralise the surface, and always re-apply your preferred protection once the decontamination is complete.

Note: Oblitarate is not suitable for use on fresh paint, un-lacquered smart repairs, or sensitive plastics (such as headlights or trim). Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

Worked well for me, leave to dwell and soften tar then wipe off with MF cloth. Had to do the inside of alloys a few times and the spots were quite hard (been there a while (not my car)). Smells just like diesel or kerosene.. might try that next time ;-)
