Metro Vac - Master Blaster
The Metro Vac Master Blaster is the rolls royce of vehicle dryers, using a twin motor 8 Horse Power motor it is able to move an impressive 58,500 feet per minute of warm filtered air. That double that of the already impressive Air Force Blaster which can blow 29,250 feet per minute! By using a dedicated blower to dry the paint significantly reduces the chances of swirling and marring the paint as there is far less need to make physical contact whilst drying. It is also really useful for removing dust and debris from panel gaps.
The Master Blaster comes pre-assembled with a four wheel dolly for maneuverability as well as a 10ft hose. The dual motor also allows a two speed operation for more delicate areas of body work.
Specifications:

230v UK plug
2 stage dual fan / 2 motors
2 speeds / 2 temperatures
10 foot x 1.5 inch commercial strength flexible hose
12 foot neoprene cord
E/Z Change Foam Filter (wash & reuse)
Sturdy Steel- weighs only 16 lbs.
Two year manufacturers warranty.

Recently purchased the Master Blaster and tried once - so far I am impressed and it does what it should. Small tip - attaching the hose to the main body is tricky as it is stiff. a little Fairy Liquid on the inside of the hose end worked a treat and it slipped right on. One blower is enough for detail work around nooks and crannies - two blowers good for larger areas such as the roof and bonnet (and drying off rubber mats after washing). If you enjoy detailing cars and big boy's toys - this one is for you.

It's the best air drier bar none but I have a few issues with it. Why doesnt it have Caster Wheels on mine? (just bought but this but new one has so check) Filter is poor for outdoor use (I've upgraded mine) Decals peel off easy Storage (for the price storage is an extra!) Tools are rubbish, the hose has a soft rubber end but tools are cheap and nasty. Overall I'd give it a 3 Star if there was something with as much power with the above mods the Master Blaster would lose its crown. Pet blowers are a cheaper alternative for the hobbyist. Time will tell to see how long it lasts but if you must have a Metro the two cheaper models maybe better value for money..

They should call this the V8 as it would give you an idea of what to expect. The first thing you should do is switch it on in the area you intend to use it. Any dust, leaves, fluff etc will go airborne. Use it as a leaf blower to clean the work area. Do this before you put your wet car there. The unit is quite noisy, particularly the nozzle. Think of a tiny jet engine. You might want ear lugs. Your neighbours and any passers-by will have more evidence that you are a nutter. The power cord and hose are a bit short. You can add a second 10 foot hose. Some folk use 30 foot in total. The wheels are not great as none of them are castors. I think it needs castors one end and a wider track. Storage is made easier by the optional hanging kit. You can see this on the Junkman video. It is a bar that fit between the wheels, like an axle. The kit has the bar and a hook. Due to the short cable, you’ll be using an extension lead. The unit will probably touch 10 amps at times, so a skinny extension lead half on the reel is not really suitable. Use something appropriate for the load and length of cable.

This this is absolutely amazing! Usually drying the car is my least favorite part, not any more!! Drying has moved right up to 2nd spot after the foam cannon. I used it for the first time yesterday, I need to tailor in my technique as I found myself redoing some areas after blowing water back over them. My car is sealed and waxed so it was insanely easy for the water beads to run right off. Got in all the door jambs and surrounding of the sunroof. It pushed out water from places I never thought water would go. While yes it is a bit expensive, the quality and power easily out weigh the cost. This should mean more knowing that as an international customer I paid over £140 on top of the purchase cost just on shipping it over to me. Still in no way regret buying this! Huge thank you to cleanyourcar.co.uk. order was shipped out and delivered really fast and arrived thoroughly packed. You guys are definitely my go-to shop for my detailing hardware!

Purchased this to be used on my BMW X4 as drying this is a good 2 hour job due to its size. I also believe in 'touch fee' washing so as to preserve my paintwork. I am amazed at just how powerful the machine is, be warned don't 'test' it in your living room though..!! It really does what it says and drys/blows every last drop of water off your car with ease. To do my full car now takes about 15minutes and never again do I have the dreaded 'run' marks that is always associated with using drying cloths. As the other reviews say, it works much better when your car has some form of protection like a sealant or wax as the water beads off so much easier. The price is on the steep side but cleanyourcar.co.uk offer it at the best price and the delivery was super quick. If your a car cleaning 'geek' and obsess with keeping your car in showroom condition then this is a product you need to have in your garage.

I purchased this back in December and have been using it ever since to really see how the Master Blaster lives up the the hype. It is designed to reduce drying time, however in my experience this actually increases drying time, as you spend much more time ensuring your car is really dry, however the quality of the 'dry" is very high. I am no longer finding water drips down my car, or water pouring out of wheels, window seals when I drive the car. Fantastic!! I do sill have to quickly run a microfibre cloth over after just incase I have missed anything. However much less contact with the paint, meaning less chance of scratches etc. My car over the past 4-5 months was originally unprotected, then protected with Jetseal 109 and now CQuartz. This works much better when your car has some form of protection like a sealant or wax as the water beads off like shown in the videos. However if your car has no protection, it won't do this, however i still feel its a worth while investment. In winter it struggles to get warm as its usually around 0 degrees, however it summer the hose does get really warm and its great. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend the 8bhp over the 4bhp. 10/10
