Gtechniq W4 Citrus Snow Foam — citrus pre-wash that clings, lifts grime & keeps coatings safe
Unlike traditional pre-wash snow foams that come loaded with caustic chemicals, Gtechniq W4 Citrus Foam is a pH neutral formula that removes hard to shift grime, without damaging sealants, coatings or waxes.
It combines an effective citrus degreaser with a strong foaming agent making it tough on road grime and bug spatter, but kind to waxes and coatings.
It can be used at a dilution of up to 10:1 through a foam lance. And also through a pump sprayer.

How to use Gtechniq W4 Citrus Snow Foam:
We recommend to use in conjunction with a jet wash and snow foam lance
Decant one inch (2.5cm) of W4 into a foam lance and fill with warm water
Allow the foam to dwell on the surface for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly
Spray onto the surface of the vehicle from bottom to top
Gtechniq W4 Snow Foam can also be used with a pump sprayer at a dilution of 1:20
Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.

Please Note: in colder weather, Gtechniq W4 Snow Foam can congeal. When it is like this it is easily identifiable by its milky appearance and thicker gel-like consistency. Do not use when it is in this state as it can cause a blockage in your foam lance. Leave W4 inside and after a few hours at room temperature it will return back to normal.

W4 Citrus Foam is one of those pre-washes we regularly reach for when we want strong cleaning performance without compromising existing protection. It’s pH neutral, which means we’re comfortable using it on waxed, sealed, or ceramic-coated cars without worrying about flattening hydrophobic performance.
The formulation combines a focused citrus degreaser with a high-foaming surfactant system, so we get good cling and proper dwell time when used through a quality foam lance. It does a solid job of softening traffic film, bug residue, and general road grime before we move into the contact wash stage — and that reduction in bonded dirt makes a noticeable difference to how safe the wash feels.
We tend to apply it through a proper lance such as the MTM PF22.3 or MJJC S3, let it dwell without drying, then rinse thoroughly before following up with a safe shampoo like Gtechniq GWash to complete the process.
For us, W4 hits a really useful middle ground — stronger than a purely cosmetic foam, but still safe enough for regular maintenance. If we’re washing a protected car and want to keep that gloss and beading intact, this is a very dependable choice.
