Gtechniq G5 Clear Vision Glass Coat

Formulated to offer the very best dirt and water repellency on all glass & perspex surfaces. One application of Gtechniq G5 Glass Coating lasts for up to 4 months, whilst being straight-forward to apply and ideal for inner city driving conditions.

What's special about Gtechniq G5 Clear Vision Glass Coating?

With non factory applied glass coatings there is a direct trade off between longevity and repellency. G5 is designed to offer the maximum possible repellency whilst offering reasonable durability. Water is blown off car screens at speeds as low as 30mph and on verticle glass water rolls off leaving a virtually spot free surface.

Gtechniq G5 coated glass will stay cleaner for longer and any contaminants such as bugs and ice will be much easier to remove.

How to use Gtechniq G5 Glass Coating

Wear protective gloves and work in a well ventilated area
Clean glass with Gtechniq G6 Perfect Glass Cleaner
Polish with Gtechniq G4 Nanotech Glass Polish, and do a final clean with G6 prior to application – when working on glass only.
Do not apply in direct sunlight
Apply a small amount of G5 to an AP1 Applicator or an Gtechniq MF1 ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth, in a circular motion covering all of the glass
Leave the coating to cure for between 10 and 15 minutes at room temperature
Remove residue from the coated surface with an Gtechniq MF5 Glass Power Cloth or MF1 cloth
Avoid contact between water and the coated surface for at least two hours following application
Store in a cool, dry place
Use within 12 months of opening

“As others have said it doesn't tell you how much to apply and I've found it really hard to buff off without leaving smears. If you use your wipers it can Marr the screen. However in the rain on the motorway it outperforms Rain X no worries.”

“This product has a specific use and in terms of the G5 in fairness this is not as good as the G1/G3 combination however, at speeds around 40 MPH this stuff is very good. Its ideal for the city/urban driver and those who pootle around as it does indeed keep the screens clean albeit at lower speeds It has other uses on ceramics and perspex screens. I bought this for the motorbike screen and side window glass on the cars.”

“This was the first product I have used for this type of application so I don't have anything to compare it to. Application was ok although it was hard to know exactly how much to use as the instructions don't say if it is supposed to create a visible haze before wiping off. Results have been good although I have not noticed any clearing of the windscreen until about 45 - 50 mph so not ideal for urban use. Overall, a good product but I can't give it 5 stars due to the speed I need to be at to clear the windscreen.”

“Having tried several other glass-specific sealants, I can say G3 is a totally different formulation. Application is straightfoward, and the result is impressive. Water repellancy is superior to other products I've used, and bugs come off easier. Also recommended for the shower tiles! My first test was there, and while other products have long disappeared, G3 is still beading on a non-glazed ceramic tile - it really hangs on! Most impressive was 300km's under heavy rain with wipers off - much better visibility and safety when driving than having your wipers on max. Highly recommended.”
