Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light Ceramic Coating (30ml/50ml)

The easiest way to describe Gtechniq Crystal Serum light (CSL) that it's about 80% of what pro only Crystal Serum is in terms of swirl and chemical resistance. Crystal Serum Light from Gtechniq has been formulated to offer 3-5 years of durable protection whilst remaining user friendly.

Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light offers many of the benefits of the accredited detailer only coating Crystal Serum. Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light forms a durable, high gloss, slick to the touch, chemically bonding inorganic layer of 9h optically clear ceramic which offers fantastic resistance to wash swirls. Gloss levels will remain in the upper 90th percentile for significantly longer compared to traditional paint sealants and cleaning your vehicle will be easier.

The coating is resistant to chemicals ranging from pH2 to pH12 and bonded contaminants such as tree sap, tar and water spots are much easier to remove. CSL is unlike mainstream carnauba waxes and organic polymer paint coating as it can resist extreme temperatures as low as -40° and as high as 250°c.

Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light can be applied as a stand alone product however for the ultimate hydrophobic performance overcoating with Gtechniq EXO v5 or C2 is recommended. With the Crystal Serum professional coating should it be applied incorrectly it would require sanding and polishing to remove, however Crystal Serum Light will not require sanding and only polishing to remove.

How to Use Gtechniq CSL


To apply Crystal Serum Light (CSL) make sure your vehicle is indoors and can stay indoors for 12 hours after application, do not apply in direct sunlight
Only apply the product at a temperature between 5°c and 25°c
Shake well and wear gloves
Wash and decontaminate your paintwork thoroughly prior to application. If required, polish your paintwork, either by car polisher machine or hand, to remove any imperfections
Spray Panel Wipe into a Gtechniq MF1 Microfibre Cloth and wipe down each panel in small sections
Soak the application pad with 3 full measures of CSL from the pipette and work the liquid into the pad to get an even saturation
Replace the lid on the bottle and set it aside – do not keep the bottle in your hand as this promotes premature curing
Apply in overlapping strokes to an area roughly 2ft by 2ft (60cm x 60cm)
Immediately remove residue with an Gtechniq MF1 cloth – you may need to buff the same area several times, but avoid doing it with too much force. We recommend the use of 2 cloths at any one time. Make sure the cloths are rotated during residue removal to prevent CSL curing in the cloth
Inspect the surface for residue with a bright, diffused light source
If you have removed the residue and it cures fully, you should polish the area and reapply CSL
As soon as you finish, put your MF1 cloths in water, wash and dry them as soon as possible
Wait a minimum of 1 hour after applying CSL before applying EXO Ultra Durable Hydrophobic Coating, or C2 Liquid Crystal
Store in a cool, dry place
If opened, use within 3 months, if unopened, use within 12 months
