Gtechniq Crystal Lacquer - C1+ Kit

Gtechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer + chemically bonds to become the new surface layer of your car/boat/ plane giving unrivalled UV resistance, dirt repellency, easy clean and swirl resistance. Lasts up to 10 times longer than dealer applied products.

C1 Crystal Lacquer + is now supplied with C2, a quartz-based sealant which is ideal for topping up coats of C1 +.

Based on C1 +, C2 is very easy to use - spray on, wipe, buff off formulation which can be used as a stand-alone sealant on paintwork, wheels, plastic trim, engine bays, etc. C2 is suitable for layering for added gloss and protection.

What's special about Gtechniq C1+ Crystal Lacquer +?

C1 has been independently proven in the world's most respected weathering facility where it proved to offer the best gloss retention of any other product tested. Over a simulated run of 3 years Arizona sunlight a C1+ coated panel lost half the amount of gloss than its next best competitor and 1/3rd less gloss than the average score for all other products tested.

But gloss retention is only part of the story. C1+ offers the following additional benefits:

Extreme Durability: Unlike regular polymer sealants, C1 actually becomes the functional surface of your car's paintwork. It does this by swapping part of its molecular structure with the surface molecules of your car's paintwork. This is a true chemical or covalent bond and as you can imagine this is a much strong bond than a physical bond which is how regular polymers and waxes adhere to your car's paintwork. In tests Gtechniq C1+ outlasted dealer applied sealants by at least 10 times.

Scratch Resistance: Gtechniq C1+ forms a sub micron cyrstalline film which is extremely hard. This characteristic makes c1 extremely effective at preventing minor scratching from poor wash technique on relatively soft automotive paint. We have run tests comparing c1 coated panels with uncoated and against panels coated with various high end carnauba waxes and polymer sealants. On average c1 coated panels exhibited 50% less marring.

Water and dirt repellency: Gtechniq C1+ is a biomimetic coating. It mimics the repellency of plants that repel water and dirt in order to keep their leaves clean. The most commonly cited example in nature is the leaf of the lotus plant

“I have a gloss black aero kit on my car and the paint is incredibly soft. I asked the dealer not to touch the car as it was brand new and they don't use new cloths when preparing so many vehicles, however as the car was pulled into the showroom before my arrival it rained so they wiped it over :( The black gloss finish now has very fine wipe marks but they are not water marks. I spent a few hours working on removing each bit of contamination and then a light ipa before dying. I applied the product as suggested, for a 30 second application I was astonished. All that prep time was worth it and the "full, if not deeper" mirror gloss finish is back. No idea how this really works but for the money it is worth every penny. Next it is going on the rest of the car as I added 250 miles of bugs to the front of the car, I just foamed and rinsed, foamed again and applied the usual 2 bucket wash with a micro fibre mitt. Nothing has stuck to the car where applied, including the water, simply amazed. I'll never be without this product, can there really be anything better?”

“The product certainly works well and I am still to do a second coating with C2 which should work a dream. I watched the video on the website showing how to apply C1 but was still unsure how much wiping I should be doing after applying - it would be good to have a little more explanation on this part. I also think getting a few more pads would be useful for people with larger cars or if you drop one.”

“Easy to apply with great protection against marring and light scratches. Not as hydrophobic as EXOv2 but makes up for it in spades by creating a hard Quartz layer to protect the original surface. I've even used it on the delicate back of my iPhone!”

“An easy product to apply and gives a exceptional finish and highly durable. The only problem was not enough application pads, only 5 with the kit, for a large car 10 would be a lot better. I would use the product again and would highly recommend it.”

“Bought this because of the protection durability. Thoroughly research the correct application method before you use and follow them and you shouldn't have any problems. It was straight forward to apply and remove just ensure thin, even layers are applied. Residue is easy to remove. Used in conjunction with Silo Seal C1.5 and the gloss, beading and sheeting is very impressive.”

“Used this kit last week and bought for the protection aspect but was blown away with the finish especially after two coats of the C1.5. Good prep is essential then it's easy enough to apply just don't rush it. Car doesn't get half as dirty now and beads/sheets water like crazy!”
