Meguiars Scratch X Swirl & Scratch Remover

Tough enough to get rid of fine scratches but gentle enough not to leave you with more. Unlike the more aggressive cutting compounds, Meguiars Scratch X has an advanced formulation that will both remove fine scratches and swirls and enhance the paint colour.

The formula is relatively gentle compared to some scratch removers but don’t let that put you off as it’s highly effective and ideal for quick touch ups or adding a bit of life back to old and lacklustre paintwork. Scratch X will also remove light oxidation and blemishes.

“Been trying to correct some scuffs/scratches with my Das-6 pro and the AF revitalise kit. That was a slow and not very impressive procedure. Then i remembered i had some Megs Scratch X v2.0. Couple of passes on the scuffs and they are almost gone. Need to wait for better weather to finish it off. So yeah, pretty impressive when used with a DA.”

“Meguiars' products are normally quite good but this is hopeless. Brought it to remove some light scratches from my car. Used a huge amount of elbow grease over and over on various scratches and it did pretty much nothing. The only thing its useful for is remove light blemishes and small paint marks. I am going to try Meguiars' Ultimate Compound now to see if that is any better as it is slight more abrasive.”

“I have to confess to being somewhat disappointed but I suspect that I was expecting too much. I was hoping to remove scratches in the clear lacquer on my wife's V50. None of these were particularly deep but the product made little impression on them. It did however remove the finger nail marks around the door locks.”

“Will remove fine scratches and scuffs. Easy usage, but requires elbow grease! I also managed to half the size of a deeper scratch which I could feel with my fingernail. Overall, quite pleased with the product”

“I came back from my holidays to find my car, which had been left in a dockside carpark for two weeks suffering from a severe case of bird poo and they must have been big birds. After a wash there were visible acid-etching marks on the surface of the paint. In desperation I looked at some articles on possible cures and I decided to try Scratch X. It has completely removed the smaller marks and the larger ones are only just visible when you know where to look and the light is right. It has saved me hundreds and has left the car with a beautiful depth of colour and shine. Brilliant stuff, I am hooked.”

“A very useful product indeed. Something that everyone should have in their shed, professional detailer or not. Resuls are good by hand or DA. Very usefull if you dont have access to a machine polisher as when used with a sonus SFX pad it will remove light swirrling and scratches more easily than you might expect.”
