The DAS-6 PRO Sonus Kit is a ideal starter kit for people looking for a easy introduction into machine polishing. Both the pads and polishes are well labelled and the stepped pads and polishes make it obvious which is the right combination of pad and polish.
In terms of levels of correction the Sonus kit is best suited for soft to medium hardness grades of paints. They use a diminishing abrasive which breaks down nicely producing fantastic results on softer paints, leaving pin sharp reflections. The pads are also very easy to work with and you get a good range from firm to soft, with the final finish pad being used for the Sonus SFX-4 Paint sealant included with the kit. This seals you hard work in a super slick and glossy coat.
All in this really is a great place to start for beginners looking for their first steps into machine polishing.

“After hand polishing and waxing my Discovery in the summer, and aching for a week, I swore I'd buy a polisher to make it easier next time. The results from this bit of kit are outstanding - the car looks absolutely gorgeous, and I managed to get great results polishing out a couple of minor scratches. I was a bit scared of being too aggressive and causing damage, but the action of the machine really does seem to make that something you'd have to try very hard to do, and the Sonus paint sealant left a beautiful sheen on the car. But the polisher itself is heavier than I anticipated, and I still ended up aching quite a bit. Certainly more a reflection on me than the unit, and I was able to do attend to those minor scratches that I couldn't do by hand, but something to bear in mind if your objective is simply making life easier. Overall though, a great bit of kit, and Clean Your Car's service excellent as ever.”

“This is my first ever review. I bought this polisher as im getting fed up applying loads of polish to 2 cars in our family. This is my first go with a DA polisher having had a rotary in the past and its very good, my only criticism would be the cable could do with being at least one metre longer apart from that i would have given it 5 stars.”

“I wanted a polisher to remove scratches and polish my car. I have used all the pads and liquids on. various panels. I am amazed at the results. This was my first use so took it easy. Swirls removed ok. The polisher is very easy to use. Would certainly recommend.”

“OK Basically I feel like I'm cheating when I use this polisher. I have never used a machine polisher before and was more than a little concerned about wrecking my car. I've just finished do the rear of a car that had severe swirling and the results are amazing. You still need to put the time to get the results and as long as you have read up beforehand then you wont have a problem. I would also recommend buying the smaller 4" spot pad and backing plate as you will need this when doing things like bumpers and other areas where the larger pad is just not suitable. P”
