Chemical Guys Clean Slate Surface Cleanser Wash is a premium car soap that strips away old wax before a full detail. The advanced cleaning formula removes dirt, debris, and old layers of wax to prepare the surface for further detailing treatments or vehicle wrapping. Chemical Guys Clean Slate is super-concentrated for maximum cleaning power, and rinses clean without any residue.

Chemical Guys developed Clean Slate Surface Cleanser Wash to gently release old layers of glaze, sealant, and wax for superior surface preparation during a full service car detail. The pH-balanced formula is gentle on all automotive surfaces like paintwork, vinyl, rubber, glass, and plastic. Clean Slate removes old layers of vehicle coatings, and will not cause any etching or staining. Wash with Clean Slate by itself, or add Clean Slate to your normal two-bucket car wash or foam cannon soap for extra thick cleaning power that sticks where it’s needed most. Slick lubricants and emulsifiers lift and separate abrasive dirt and grime for a scratch-free car wash experience.

Removes old waxes, sealants and glazes
Preprare for a new detail
Cleanse the surface for the application of paint protection film or vinyl wrap.

How to use:

Shake product well.
Pour 1 oz. of Chemical Guys Clean Slate Wash into 5 gallons of clean water in a wash bucket.
Wash the surface of the vehicle from top to bottom with a premium microfiber car wash mitt.
Rinse with clean water.
Dry using a premium microfiber towel.

“Used this to remove/degrade dealership applied spray wax prior to ceramic coating a car. Did a decent job and I could certainly see a big difference in the water behaviour after I used it, but the wax wasn’t completely stripped. To be honest, I didn’t expect it to as it claims to remove OLD waxes and glazes. As I was chemically and mechanically decontaminating the car anyway, it wasn’t an overly big deal. Next time, I’m going to try it through a snow foam lance to see if the extra dwell time improves performance.”

“My car has several coats of wax on it which I wanted to strip in preparation for a sealant. I’ve washed the car once with Clean Slate but there’s still wax left on the paint. I may need to wash the car a few times with Clean Slate to see results, the jury is still out on this product I’m afraid.”

“I’m not really into car detailing, as I drive a Land Rover, and it spends most of its life covered in mud! I needed to sort out some minor paint imperfections, and thought I’d go all out and do a great job with professional products that are better than the usual mediocre stuff available from Halfrauds. Most of these brands I’d never even heard of before, so bought them based on reviews. This stuff is absolutely brilliant! A perfect start to job that hadn’t been done in a very long time.”

“I used this to strip the wax from my BMW before getting out the Dual Action Polisher. Hosed the car down first then applied this in the Wash Bucket and plain Water in the rinse Bucket. Did a great job of cleaning all the wax from the car and then enabled me to dry with no marks left behind and ready for a Clay Bar and DA Polish”
