Our Opinion:

After wrongly assuming this was just a metal wax, we were absolutely blown away with the performance of this product. Collinite Metal wax is much more than just a metal wax, it is a one step metal polish and sealant rolled into one.

It's extremely easy to apply being a liquid formula and rejuvinates metal whilst leaving behind a layer of sealant that visibly repels water. All in, this is another fantastic product from Collinite!

“It works but it takes a lot of effort and hours of applying and wiping off. It brought back the tarnished stainless steel (yes, even stainless steel tarnishes!)to almost brand new but it took 4 applications and wiping off. During each application, the polish went almost black (due to the severity of the tarnished metal). You have to wait until it dries out fully- expect a lot of dust when you wipe it off. It does not wipe off easily as it leaves a greasy residue (presumably the protective layer) behind which looks very patchy. I used olive oil to smooth the finish and make it uniform. It took several hours of work for two pieces of flat stainless steel. I am still looking for something that I can apply once and wipe off easily. This is not it.”

“Having been extremely pleased with Colinite 845 Insulator Wax on 3 different cars I was expecting similar results on the aluminium body parts of the third. Unfortunately the speed & cleaning ability on light tarnishing & water stains is significantly inferior to Autoglym Metal Polish which I reverted to. I then applied 850 Metal Wax to the cleaned surfaces to improve & protect the cleaned surface which was again disappointing, even after significant buffing it dulled the finish causing me to revert to Autoglym yet again. Autoglym is far more abrasive, increasing speed of work whilst giving a superior lustre.”
