CarPro - Hydro Foam

CarPro Hydro foam is a snow foam that not only cleans but seals the paint with a silica rich formula designed to last months in one easy to use solution.

CarPro HydroFoam is a pH Neutral surfactant designed to gently lift and remove dirt from solid surfaces in both a safe and effective manner. CarPro HydroFoam was designed with a special lifting lubricant that not only allows the dirt to be lifted from the surface but also provides a lubricant to safely wash the paint when used as directed. In the tradition of our Hydro2 line, CarPro HydroFoam was formulated with Hydrophilic glass fibers, fluoropolymers and can be applied to most solid vehicle surfaces!

Paint, glass, plastic, wheels, calipers, and wheel wells are all easily within reach with HydroFoam. This amazing rich foam wash and sealant in one thats lifts and removes dirt, whilst leaving a ultra-water-repellent! This results in a durable silica shell that produces a brilliant protected shine that is incredibly easy to maintain.

The "Hydroelectric bonding" function means the pressure from spraying with water accelerates the bonding of the glass like shell to the surface creating a unique glossy coat that is resistant to nearly all acids, alkaline solutions, and solvents while offering significant UV protection.

Easy to use and great shine. I’d advise foaming the car then using mitt to wash the car straight away then rinse. Works best for me. Water beading is great.

This is definitely one of the best advances in car care technology in the past 20 years. *Caution* - this shouldn't really be used to "wash" your car - but rather as a last step after a full clean and rinse. (My preferred snow foam is Valet Pro Advanced Neutral and my favourite slick shampoo is Meguairs Hyper Wash). The reason I say that it shouldn't really be used as a shampoo is for a couple of reasons: First, is that you should run a wash mitt over the car immediately after using this as a foam coat, but without rinsing the wash mitt at all - or pausing to do so (more on this shortly...) - to ensure the entire car is "coated", but doing so quickly. You can't do this as part of a 2-bucket method, so using it as a "wash" shampoo will simply rub the dirty wash mitt all over your paintwork and risk swirling the paint much more than washing your car ought to. Second, you need to be quick between foaming and rinsing this product off. *Warning* - never use this in direct sun - that path leads to obvious visible and "hard" streaks that are very difficult to remove and lots of angst, particularly if you have a protective coat on your car already - since polishing the streaks risks damaging the protective layer already on your car. Never allow this product any time to linger on the paintwork or even to part dry. So be extra quick to foam, agitate and rinse. In hot conditions I would hesitate to use this stuff at all. If necessary, do half the car, or even a panel at a time, but this overlapping process reduces the overall benefit, because you will be allowing the rinse water to dry on the first half as you complete the second half, or even have to rinse the entire car again, and this just adds extra time that you are trying to reduce by using this product in the first place... Now we've got the warnings out of the way, the real benefits to this product are that it is easy and quick to use as a rinse aid - it goes on *all* of the car, not just the paint, so rubber seals, plastic trims, wiper arms and glass all benefit from the extreme hydrophobic and (self cleaning) properties that it protects the car with - then, it creates crazy beading of rain water, and it is quite long lasting as a top protective coat to keep any other protective coatings topped up. I particularly recommend this for areas where tap water is "hard", giving the dreaded water spots, simply because it makes drying with a waffle drying towel so much easier and quicker since the final rinse water beads away so effectively and very little is left to need a towel dry. Rinse off should be with a hose, not a jet wash, which tends to mist the whole car with water spray and negate the beading process. I use a hoselock hose attachment set to "rose spray". (I also then use de-ionised reverse osmosis purified water as a final rinse using a small jug just to ensure no excessively hard Lincolnshire tap water remains on the car and that the sheeting and beading effect left behind by the Hydro2Foam allows the panels to practically self-dry - which means less contact with a drying towel as well, so it's a win-win way to finish washing my car.) This all sounds like an extra burden, but actually speeds up the entire washing process for me due to the speed that you need to whip round the car with the agitating wash-mitt and the extra speed of the final drying process... it takes me less time to do all of this than to towel the car dry and needs less towels to soak up the reduced amount of remaining water.
