Bilt Hamber Auto Foam

Bilt Hamber Auto Foam is a premium quality, foaming pre-wash treatment, designed to soak and saturate soiled vehicle paintwork prior to the application of vehicle shampoo. Auto-Foam is gentle and can be use in conjunction with all pressure washer foam lances.

Bilt Hamber's Auto-Foam creates masses of bubbles systematically burst and move around, encouraging the soaking and cleansing agents to start working. Road grime is lifted from painted surfaces thereby minimising harm caused by swirling and marking during subsequent washing.

Bilt Hamber Auto Foam Directions:

Bilt Hamber Auto Foam is a dedicated snow foam, therefore the optimal application method is with a snow foam lance.

Bilt Hamber recommend a dilution ration based on 'panel impact ratio' of 1:20 to 1:100. Like most snow foams there are many variables to getting the perfect mix from your water pressure down to flow rates of your pressure washer. We therefore recommend using filling the bottle of your snow foam lance with about an inch of Auto Foam and then topping the rest with water. You can make a slightly stronger mix on badly soiled paint.

Spray onto the paint and allow a good few minutes for Auto Foam to dwell on the surface. By allowing Bilt Hamber Auto Foam to dwell on the surface of the paint allows the foam to get to work, softening and encapsulation dirt and grime. After about 5 minutes jet washing off will remove much of the dirt on the surface of the paint.

Typically snow foams remove about 90% of the contamination, thus making a final wash much easier, but critically removing most of the grit and dirt that could potentially scratch the surface of your paint.

“Always used Autoglym Polar Blast as my go to snow foam and after seeing a comparison video on Forensic Detailing YouTube channel I thought I'd give Auto Foam a try, especially with the amount of road film and grime we get on our cars at this time of year. Was a little sceptical as it didn't foam up as much as Polar Blast but I needn't be. Followed the dilution recommendations, left it to dwell for 5 mins and then pressure washed it off and I was amazed. Almost didn't need to shampoo. All the dirt and grime had been washed away. I did have a decent coat of Collinite Wax on the car which might have helped with how well it removed the dirt but it was still very impressive. Another positive is a lot goes a long way so its better value for money vs Polar Blast. All in all a great product and thoroughly recommended.”

“This is a trusted brand and a well known product in the detailing world. It doesn’t produce a thick foam although that could be down to using the cheapest Karcher pressure washer and a mid priced cannon, but left to dwell for 5 minutes it performs well and it’s easily rinsed off without covering your drive way in thick hard to wash away foam. I like using snow foam cannons because it’s strangely satisfying but all snow foams remove minimal dirt but this one from Bilt Hamber just seems to perform better. I use 250ml of AF to 250 ml of warm water. 500 ml of total solution easily covers one mid size family car. All Bilt Hamber products are top quality and definitely worth a look.”

“I used a snow foam lance which I got from cleanyourcar and this produced a thick foam which coated the car nicely. After a few minutes I jet washed it off and was getting ready for a contact wash but found I didn't need to as my car was clean and smooth. This was probably helped by previously having a good wax coating. Anyway, very impressed with the cleaning power of this stuff just by leaving on the car for a short time.”

“Its good. Not a high foaming foam, but its very effective at getting rid of muck and traffic film, which is what its supposed to do. It also seems to work quickly 2-3 mins”

“Dilution ratios are good 100ml light, 200ml medium and 300ml heavy for 5litre bottle at this price really and performed really well and smells great”
