SONAX Xtreme Wheel Cleaner Plus (Full Effect) 500ml
Highly effective acid-free special cleaner for all types of steel and light alloy wheels. Easily removes even the most stubborn dirt such as burnt-on brake dust, oil and rubber residue and other road dirt from all types of steel and alloy wheels matt-effect.
Sonax Full effect Wheel cleaner is possibly the best wheel cleaner available on the market today. Not only is it extremely effective but also extremely safe. It's pH neutral formula is safe on ALL wheels including aluminium, chrome and even polished rims. Sonax Full effect wheel cleaners thick formula clings to the wheel so is more economical and reacts directly with the iron particulates transforming them into a water soluble solution.
It's so effective often wheels don't even require brushing but if necessary all they will require is a soft bristled brush to agitate any remaining bits of dirt.

“I’m not really into car detailing, as I drive a Land Rover, and it spends most of its life covered in mud! I needed to sort out some minor paint imperfections, and thought I’d go all out and do a great job with professional products that are better than the usual mediocre stuff available from Halfrauds. Most of these brands I’d never even heard of before, so bought them based on reviews. This stuff is absolutely brilliant! Spray on, walk off and have a cup of tea, come back, wheels as good as new. Bosh!”

“Bought a new car that had some black caked on brake dust around all 4 wheels, it would not come off with car soap and looked like it had been on there for a long time. Having never used a wheel cleaner before I was abit sceptical whether it would remove this black brake dust/dirt, but IT DID! I was amazed, the reviews are all spot on, it really does work and works well. However some of the other reviews say it needs agitating to remove all dirt/brake dust, this is correct. Leaving it for a few minutes starts to remove abit of dirt but you need a brush to agitate it and it comes straight off like magic! I bought the large Valet Pro brush on this website and it was perfect for the job. I’ve got 5 spoke wheels so if you’ve got multispokes then you’ll need a smaller brush to get in between all the spokes. You literally just do as it says on the label, spray on and leave for a few minutes, I left mine for about 5 minutes and you start to see the clear liquid turn red as it’s working, at this point you know it’s time to agitate it to remove the dirt. As it’s sprayed on it’s like a clear liquid like water, then it turns red and when agitated it foams up like soap. Make sure to rinse well with a pressure washer or hose, then wash with your normal car soap and rinse again, this will remove any of the remaining product. Although it says safe on all wheels and contains no acid, I still didn’t want to take a chance so washed everything off really well. I can honestly say this Sonax wheel cleaner was worth every penny, it’s done exactly what I wanted it to. Done all 4 wheels and I’ve not even used half of the bottle. I will give them another spray at some point as there’s a little few spots of black left but on first application I’d say it’s removed 90% of the stubborn brake dust with minimal effort. I cleaned all the wheels and washed them off etc all in around one hour. If your thinking of buying this, STOP thinking about it and buy it now!”

“This is my goto product for stubborn brake dust. I find that it works best before cleaning the wheels with anything else (preferably left dry first) and then pressure wash off after 5 minutes.”

“Sonax generally produce exceptional products, but for me, this product is only as good as any other out there such as Iron X etc - that said, the price is good, the trigger/bottle works well and the smell is pleasant enough. I don't own a pressure washer, so plenty of agitation is needed.”

“This product really did surprise me. When you spray it on, it kind of pools into spots like a Gel. Then it begins to work much like IronX. On the back it says you might need to agitate. I would say you really do need to agitate with a soft brush to get the best from the product. Once you rinse the wheels off its amazing like WOW amazing I would say slightly better than IronX. The only thing not to like is that it smells like toilet duck, might be better than the rotting egg smell of IronX but still can someone not invent one that smells nice!”
