Sonax - Xtreme Ceramic Active Shampoo (500ml)

Sonax Ceramic shampoo is a traditional car shampoo that also adds a layer of ceramic protection to your paint.

Sonax Ceramic Active Shampoo adds a coating and sealing effect to the paint and also boosts protection for existing coatings from washing with a long-lasting, water and dirt-repellent finish.

The perfect care for vehicles with ceramic coatings.

Rinse off coarse dirt from the vehicle with a strong water jet.
Shake bottle before use.
Mix 50 ml of the sealant in 10 l of warm water and lather.
Wash the vehicle from top to bottom with a wash mitt or sponge. Then rinse with plenty of clean water and rinse off.

Please Note:

Do not wash in direct sunlight or on hot paintwork . After shampooing, rinse with clean water as soon as possible, otherwise residues can dry on or water stains appear. Protect from frost

Surprisingly effective. I was looking for a product to help maintain ceramic coated paint, and having used Sonax CC36 I chose this Sonax ceramic shampoo to keep it in the family. I’ve used twice in 4 months. It does not really lather-up like shampoo, it’s quite flat. I ended up adding more product to see if I’d done it wrong, but I found that washing the car i could feel the silicone adhering to the paintwork. It was quite unlike normal shampoo on first wash (i usually use everything from Sonax Actifoam Energy, gloss concentrate, the berry one, or Gtechniq shampoo or bilt hamber) but going over the car again it started to lather, presumably as it had already laid-down the ceramic layer. The difference can be seen immediately, even rinsing the water is repelled very easily. Used in August on a hot day - in spite of the warning not-to - the shampoo was a nightmare, drying quickly on the car in sunlight so I had to wash and rinse almost a panel at a time. Using now in November it’s much easier being cold and dull. However I did pre-wash with snowfoam this time as the car was very muddy (we live in the countryside). I hesitate but have given 5 stars as I do recommend this. With the caveat it’s not really for cleaning a very dirty car, but instead for applying a ceramic film to revive an already coated car. I have used on a CC36 coated car, and another waxed car (i.e. not ceramic) and the cleaning/coating/beading effect was the same. Note of caution - bit of a nightmare on the windscreen if you don’t like coatings. Have cleaned off with Gtechniq G6 and G4.
