“The locating bracket at the bottom of the rim was too wide, i.e. .720" instead of .420" = the size of the
slot in the original Lucas 700 series shell. I had to drill out the rivett, reduce the width of the bracket,
and refit with a new rivett - all very time consuming.
As regards the fixing clip, this was too wide as well and had to be filed down in order to fit.”
