“Scam? Warning to check punctures! I left the airport rental with the tyre pressure symbol showing. I thought it would be simply be a case of the tyre(s) needed “warming” up as I drove. I thought nothing more of it and didn’t see warning icon again. I should have known it was a nail - a nail that the breakdown person amazingly “found” 4 days later when my C3 SUV failed to start. The mechanic also “found” a very small scratch on the wing mirror. He couldn’t start the C3 (don’t know why!) so I was charged a large towing fee and he also charged me for a full tank of fuel (I could hardly fill up before returning to the airport due to the breakdown). So £600 I was pressured to pay on my credit card. And the salt on the wounds - I also had to pay 20 € for a taxi to collect a new rental. What a spoilt day that was. I allege that the nail was already in the tyre on the last return of the C3, hence SbC potentially have charged 2x €280 for a new tyre (you can repair a nail puncture in UK for £20). Beware.”
