“The pick up was smooth and the car was fine. We were late dropping the vehicle off having been in a traffic queue standstill for over 3 hours due to a fatal accident but the staff were fine considering it was almost dark when we arrived but a cursory glance of the car was made and everything appeared to be ok. However, the following morning we received an email depicting alleged rear bumper damage and a photograph showing no damage to this bumper on pick up and requesting any of our own photos taken on pick up if we disputed this damage. Fortunately we had taken a number of photos on pick up and in fact had one specifically showing this damage was present at pick up. Eventually after a number of email/whatsapp exchanges Carwiz accepted that the alleged damage was not of our making and apologised for the inconvenience caused. This was extremely disconcerting to us as a photograph had been provided by Carwiz that was obviously taken prior to our hire and had we not been able to prove this was incorrect we would have certainly been faced with unacceptable costs and the stress that this would have caused.”
