Milk Oolong(Jian Xuan)
Type: Oolong
Description:This variety of Oolong tea is completely unique. The tea's extraordinary flavour comes from a sudden climate shift in the region during harvest that causes the leaves to take on a milky, sweet flavour and aroma. The tea is produced from tea leaves at a specific time, temperature, altitude and soil conditions to get the milky silky texture.

First purchase of this tea, speedy delivery and a great tea indeed. Excellent aroma and flavour, was going to buy from Harrods but saved a fortune getting it from Chiswick.

Love this tea, easier to drink than previous Milk Oolong's and get the same taste with every refill making it great value for money.

I had been searching for an authentic milky oolong for a while and I am pleased to have found this one. I bought 50g as a test an I am not dissapointed. The milky notes are really perceptible contrary to many so-called milk oolongs for which you can't even taste the milky aromas. It has not astringency and is very supple and sweet. I'll order again. it's a pity the 100g bags are out of stocks... Now I am curious to try other oolongs from the Chiswick tea company.

I drink a lot of oolong tea and I have been very pleased with the quality and value for money offered by Chiswick. This 'milk' oolong is very unusual and is not one I would drink all the time but, having said that, it is delicious in its own way. My wife and I particularly like it in the morning for its naturally sweet, biscuity flavour and we have re-ordered several times now. Highly recommended if you like light, flavourful teas which can be watered several times without losing interest or becoming bitter.

The taster batch that I received was great and much better than the one bought from another supplier. The tea leaves have a nice, buttery smell and it comes in a resealable vacuum pack. The tea tasted smooth and sweet. Throughly recommended!

This is a truly unique tea, that to be honest split opinion in our household. It has a strong milky, or perhaps "shortbready", aroma and a buttery/milky flavour. Personally I really enjoyed it, but it wasn't as universally popular as, for instance, the more nutty flavour of Iron Buddha. It is a superb quality tea though, brilliantly stored in a resealable packet and I was pleasantly surprised at how much 100gms actually was. A top quality tea, but with a unique flavour.

I've ordered this tea for the first time recently and I love it. It's very smooth and soothing. The smell is out of this world. I've tried Iron Buddha previously but Milk Oolong is definitely my preferred one. It's very good value for money because you can brew the same tea at least 3-4 times depending on the quantity you use. I'll be definitely ordering more of this tea.
