Rhino Heavy Duty Cutting Mat Reviews

To prevent any slippage, I edged the table top I made such that the mat sat inside but slightly higher than the table edges. Initially (mid March) the mat fitted perfectly, but (I think) as the weather warmed up, the Mat started to ripple slightly which meant I had to reduce the thickness of the table edges to allow it to again lie completely flat. This could have been due to the wood shrinking slightly, or the Mat expanding either through heat or usage. Not sure which, and I only needed to adjust by two or three mm. No major drama, just something to be aware of if you want your Mat to fit snugly into an inset table top. Also, my wife uses only rotary cutters and has commented that the mat doesn't appear to "self-heal" as well as the smaller/thinner "green" cutting mats she used to use that go up to about A2 size. This said, she has had no problems with the mat and having a single, large cutting surface with the grid underneath, is much better for her. Good service from Rhino overall. Quick delivery, well packaged, and they provided all the offcuts from the original sheet/grid.
