“Well, I haven't actually used this yet, only purchased it to nudge the figure over the threshold for free delivery, ours is a tropical freshwater setup, so, on removing the Seneye form the water and giving it a little brush in fresh water, it looked so clean I put this tube of "magic crystals" back in their box. As with the Seneye slides, way over packaged, you could easily fit four of the single tube of crystals that this contains in the box, but no, just the one, pluss plenty of air! It should also be noted that this is just for one clean, I'd assumed it was a sort of cleaning kit for repeat use, so I will save these for a special occasion.
It turns out that on reading the safety data sheet, these crystals are simply citric acid. You can purchase over 2kg of citric acid crystals on a well known digital bookstore for 2/3 the price Seneye charge for about 12g and some cellophane gloves, so, something over 200 x more expensive. Having looked that up, I think I might just have been taken for a mug, thanks Seneye!”
