Throughput of water from cold mains tap outside is about half the stated amount but then the water coming into it is colder and that affects throughput.
I tested the first two batches of water and compared that with tap water and nitrates, nitrites are trace only now. Hardness and pH have come right down too. The fish look so much healthier and brighter since switching to all RO water.
This item just requires water, no mains needed. RO filter should last more than a year, possibly two. The carbon and pre-filters last about six months depending on use.
With today's tap water I think RO water is a must for all aquariums. Your fish will really know the difference.”
