“Easy to set up, light and bright. Only downside in my view is the light comes out as rather white/yellow in tone. However, that may be just my preference (it would bring out the oranges/reds in my fish better).”
“For the price, I really expected more. The app (which is more faff to use than a direct input) is very limited in what it lets you do. I can set a night lighting level, a morning level and ramp rate to reach it. A mid-day break period level (but with no ramp option), an evening level (again no ramp option from the break) and a dimming down period to the night setting. Although the time/intensity of each period can be varied, the number/sequence is fixed.
All in all, the app is VERY basic. Why no dimming/ramp option to and from the mid day break? Why not give more flexibility to customize the number/types of periods? Blue as a channel can be controlled separately, but the rest of the lighting is adjusted as a block. All in all, it does work, but seems like a comparatively expensive way to add a dawn/dusk ramping/dimming feature to an LED light.
Note - There is also a 'cloud effect'feature that sounds intriguing, but I have yet to get it to do anything.”
