This device does indeed monitor some aspects of your water conditions, however I was disappointed in the fact that the device does not have Wi-Fi capability as standard, and must be always connected to a PC/Laptop for up-to-date readings. The marketing docs brush over this element by the fact that it will still record readings when not connected to a laptop/PC (assuming connected to a USB power supply) and will upload the back dated results to the cloud when re-connected to a laptop/PC. In my view and in the age of IoT this is a fundamental flaw of this product. This could easily be remedied by using the free SMS feature to periodically upload the data to the cloud, however the manufacturer has instead opted for offering you the more expensive add-on product in order to achieve this capability. (which is circa 50% more expensive than the seneye home itself.) this has tainted my experience of this product. - From a monitoring perspective, it is ok. Out of the box you get a monitor for Temp, Light, PH, and Ammonia content (you have to pay additional for more monitors). Both the PH and the temp continue to show differing results to both other thermometers and PH testing kits which made me kind of dubious of the data collected from this device. you can trim elements of the measurements, but only at staged intervals on each measurement which can still make the results skewed. The other aspect is the fact that you have to purchase a new sensor slide every month. I appreciate that this may be unavoidable but they are not cheap, and make the product costly to run over the year. - otherwise the product does what it says in the tin, and is good for those who wish to monitor their aquarium in more detail. Those on a lower budget should avoid.

Problems with sotware download for pc use due to virus checker, but decided to go with web server, set up was very quick and easy. Already got msg stating low temp when i came home heater was turned off. I had forgot to switch on after replanting aquarium tha day before, lucky no fish in tank but a great piece of kit even at the price.
