“I have only given 4 stars due to Reef Factory's error and it has nothing to do with Charterhouse Aquatics where it was purchased.
Don't get me wrong this would have been 5 stars if Reef Factory would've sent out a usable spindle that holds the new fleece roll in place, it basically wouldn't hold it in place due to the tabs on the ends not being large enough to prevent the rod from just falling out. I decided to just make my own with some spare 10mm acrylic rod and a couple of parts I 3d printed off.
And secondly just a 50mm length of 32mm pipe put in the box would have helped out a lot, luckily I was able to 3d print a piece out of ABS (PETG would do also) or I'd have had to buy a length for such a small bit.
After this, it was really simple to put the Smart Roller together and install it in the tank. It takes up very little room in the sump due to it's small footprint and it seems to be doing a great job of cleaning all the particulates out of the water. Basically it's just install in the tank, connect it to the app and forget about it.
I would seriously recommend this to anyone, especially if you were like me and kept forgetting to change the filter socks regularly due to a busy home life.
I just hope that Reef Factory bring out a finer fleece at some point to polish the water a little more, even though it says I still have over six and a half months worth of fleece left.”
