“I use these filter pads for a turtle tank, therefore they need frequent changing, however, I find that cheaper generic products don't always work as well as the more robust Eheim product. The coarse pads need weekly rinsing out and changing after a couple of months or so, and would probably last longer with a fish set-up, as they are not reputed to be so dirty as turtles!”
