There is 5 internal basket for media of your chose ( there are some sponged and bio- rings proposed by manufacturer )there is as well build in to the pump head itself - pre-filter ( very easy access)
Most impressive it its ability to change flow rate from 50% this is as low as you can go … to 100%
Where in lowest setting pumping 800 l/h fully packed with media using only 6W of power in 100% pumping 1600-1800l/h ( this is unheard of .. I’m really impressed )there is a few flow patterns

There is as well day and night flow patterns
Where you can independently select time when filter slowing down for night )
I’m in fish keeping hobby for many years and in my opinion Aquael 2000 BT external aquarium filter affordable , fair priced exceptionally designed and easy to use … what else do you need ?
