Earthborn Claypaint is a unique eco paint with a luxurious, ultra-matt finish for walls and ceilings. The beautiful range of traditional and contemporary colours are soothing and inspiring. Health and environmental benefits are unbeatable, too - Claypaint is virtually free of VOCs and other harmful emissions, odour free, totally oil free and highly breathable - great for traditional buildings, babies' nurseries and children's rooms. Being static resistant, Earthborn Claypaint reduces dust and allergen build-up, making it the ideal choice for asthma and allergy sufferers. It is also easy to apply and has great covering power.  Deliciously thick and creamy, it goes on like a dream and often requires fewer coats than conventional emulsions. As yet have only tried out the testers, but the consistency is great - like cream and painted on beautifully. Looks like it will cover really well.

Having an old house (17th c), experienced various damp issues caused by modern construction methods, over time have experimented with using Claypaint and have seen a dramatic improvement with the breath-ability qualities. Previous damp spots now breathe and have not returned, where plastic paints bubble the same spots breathe behind but the clay paint allows it through and shows only minor roughling. Clay paint has no nasty smell normally get with plastic emulsions, and after much research is generally much better for your health and well being. Would seriously recommend and consider paying the extra even if was in a modern home in the future.

Expensive, but covers really well (one coat only on new plasterboard; one difficult wall with previous paint on needed two coats, but that was the only bit of three refurbished rooms that got more than one coat) and looks great a year later. Pay a bit more and save a lot of time.

Blotchy in places but maybe due to our walls. Needed more than one coat and sometimes three but loved the colour chosen.
