Earthborn Claypaint is a unique eco paint with a luxurious, ultra-matt finish for walls and ceilings. The beautiful range of traditional and contemporary colours are soothing and inspiring. Health and environmental benefits are unbeatable, too - Claypaint is virtually free of VOCs and other harmful emissions, odour free, totally oil free and highly breathable - great for traditional buildings, babies' nurseries and children's rooms. Being static resistant, Earthborn Claypaint reduces dust and allergen build-up, making it the ideal choice for asthma and allergy sufferers. It is also easy to apply and has great covering power.  Deliciously thick and creamy, it goes on like a dream and often requires fewer coats than conventional emulsions. All this and no horrible smells or emissions. With virtually no VOC's you can happily sleep in the same room that has been painted the same day. I had my sitting room and dining room painted with the lovely 'Lemony' Earthborn - Claypaint. I followed this up by buying a small tin in the same colour in order to touch up scuffs and marks.

I used the product onto both previously lime washed and previously painted lime render. The 2.5 litre tin gave me about 20m2 of coverage. Went on very easily and only required a single coat.

Love this paint. For first-time decorators, using the paint was a little daunting at first because it is quite thick. We often thinned it with a tiny bit of water. It looks very patchy at first but it evened out completely as it dried. We almost didn't need a second coat (maybe if we'd been more skillful...). It all looks fab. In terms of colours, we got: - Toy Soldier: fabulously rich blue. It looks very dark when wet, but it lightens up a lot when it dries. It is very thick, so slightly more difficult to paint on at first. - Tick Tock: this is a grey with a strong blue/purple undertone. Depending on the room, it can look very different; sometimes it looks too much like baby blue. My mistake was not making a larger sample, moving it around and living with the sample for a few days. By the time I noticed the blue tinge on my A3 sample, I had ordered the paint. - Flower Pot: Deep terracotta; we ended up doing only one layer, which we watered down too much (consistency does change between colours!) so we have a sort of washed finish. We left it like that because we unexpectedly liked it, but a second coat would have evened it out.
