Earthborn Claypaint is a unique eco paint with a luxurious, ultra-matt finish for walls and ceilings. The beautiful range of traditional and contemporary colours are soothing and inspiring. Health and environmental benefits are unbeatable, too - Claypaint is virtually free of VOCs and other harmful emissions, odour free, totally oil free and highly breathable - great for traditional buildings, babies' nurseries and children's rooms. Being static resistant, Earthborn Claypaint reduces dust and allergen build-up, making it the ideal choice for asthma and allergy sufferers. It is also easy to apply and has great covering power.  Deliciously thick and creamy, it goes on like a dream and often requires fewer coats than conventional emulsions. All this and no horrible smells or emissions. With virtually no VOC's you can happily sleep in the same room that has been painted the same day. In July 2014, we hosted our first shabby chic furniture painting class using our beautiful Cla...

I found that the paint was a little thick to go on easily. Admittedly, I was painting in very warm weather, but I had to add quite a bit of water so that the paint didn't dry too quickly as I was putting it on. Also, the coverage wasn't as far as I was expecting, even with watering it down. That said, the final result is just what I was looking for. Bedroom done, looking forward to starting on the dining room!

Earthborn Claypaint has a totally different chemistry to commercial varieties. It's really thick, matt, dries quickly and opacity is excellent, even watered down. However, its downfall is that it is completely unscrubbable - it wipes off even when dry - and easily picks up scuffs and stains. Therefore it's fine for ceilings and bedrooms but will quickly look worn in fingerprintable areas.

Have been using Earthborn paint for a number of years now and am very pleased with finish it gives, a very matt finish. Although quite expensive, it is very easy to use, not smelly, goes on easily, often one coat is enough with the Claypaint. Visitors to the house and other houses I've used it in often ask what the paint is, what the colour is, and say how much they like it. I would and do recommend using it to others.

Excellent thick and creamy paint. Very easy to paint with. Really good ability to cover the previous colour and filler etc. Covered exactly the amount of square metres as specified on tin. Only reason for not giving full marks, is because it has a lingering, rather unpleasant smell. It still smells 3 weeks after application, but is reducing. At least the 'fumes' will be safe and not chemicals, like other paints.

This stuff is great to use, and goes on like a dream. Used on uneven, old walls and very pleased with the results.

Lovely to work with and covers almost anything. The “marbles” is a bit alarming as a first coat on new lime plaster, as it appears to be transparent! It dries to a lovely creamy shade of white, however, so just have faith. Have also had great experience of other colours top tips when you mix colours - don’t use a white with tioxide to lighten colours and use a hairdryer to dry off your sample to speed up seeing what the signal colour will be
