Cornerstone Insulating Render is a dry mixed render/plaster designed to reduce heat loss in buildings constructed with solid walls. Suitable for both internal and external applications it is applied as a base coat and then finished with a Lime finishing plaster. We recommend Cornerstone CLM66 for internal finishing and Cornerstone Drymix NHL2 fine as an external finish. The render is lightweight and can be applied in multiple coats. Each coat can be applied at a thickness of 30mm helping to reduce labour times and cost. The superior performance of Cornerstone Insulating render means that it is 50% more insulating than the closest performing market alternative and is priced to meet or cost less. Cornerstone insulating render contains NHL2, recycled aggregates and an additive which enables it to stick to virtually any background. “Great product, have just replaced old failing lime plaster that was over 260 years old. We wanted a more rustic finish so have used it as a top coat too. Being an old wall depths range from 15mm up to 60mm. Final “natural” colour is a nice cream magnolia. We will use earthborn paint to finish to maintain breathable aspect. A couple of things I did do were to use a cocoa bristle brush to get rid of surface beads and loose matter and to run a blow torch lightly over the surface after a couple of weeks just to burn back the fibres for when we paint it. We did a 2 coat pass over 2 days in early July 2026 and we had no cracks etc at all. If ordering for old uneven walls order more than you think as it will disappear! Although Cornish lime were excellent at prompt delivery”

“Easy to use and good thermal properties. It can be applied quite thick and it's very rare to crack. Perfect for dry stone walls that require insulation.”
