Earthborn Lifestyle is durable and washable eco-friendly alternative to standard washable emulsions. Ideal for the busier and higher humidity where walls are more likely to get marked and scuffed. Being virtually VOC-free and free from any hazardous chemicals meaning no nasty paint smells allowing you to move to the painted room on the same day. (see full ingredient declaration below) Unfortunately, there are no samples available in the Lifestyle Emulsion. However, the colour range is the same as Earthborn's Claypaint and samples are available in that range. For properties where breathability is important i.e. solid masonry building's, you may wish to consider the Earthborn Claypaint due to its significantly higher breathability. I love Earthborn products - I have completely painted a large building project with it. It goes on so easily, the coverage is much better than some other well advertised brands, and the pigments don't fade so that you can touch up several years later and there is no loss of colour. It isn't as washable as I would like, but it is so easy to touch up. I run a busy B&B and keep a small pot to cover scuffs etc between guests. It dries very quickly too!

Quite streaky dries easily but not as bad as the eggshell. The only thing is if you get a mark on the wall you can’t wash it off easy or at all, it stays so you have repaint so I would never buy this paint again, another disappointment

Happy with the product. It is a bit thick and requires a bit of thinning (about 10-15%)for the priming coat. Pleased with the effect.

I do think this is good paint. It's chief virtue perhaps is that it is obviously more durable than Earthborn's Claypaint yet still provides a flat finish. Though it is not recommended for woodwork I suspect that if a matt finish is required it would do very well as I find the Earthborn eggshell a bit too shiny. My only criticism concerns the exact colour mix I received, the Tom's Bakery didn't really match the colour on the chart, being a little cooler and whiter than it should have been.

Have used the Claypaint before but wanted something more hard wearing for the kitchen. Lovely matt finish but only downside is the Mittens Lifestyle colour is quite different to the Mittens Claypaint colour. Definitely has a more cooler, grey tone to it whereas the Mittens Claypaint was as described on the Earthborn site, ie a cream with a hint of green so a warmer sunnier shade. But I can live with it, most of the walls will be covered with units but something to bear in mind.

excellent paint in a beautiful range of colours with no smell, meaning you can paint walls in a room you are wanting to use the same day; love it

Had used Claypaint White in our previous 300 year old property so was already a fan of Earthborn. Purchased the Lifestyle emulsion for a downstairs shower room as wanted a more hardwearing finish and breathability is not as crucial in this current house. I didn’t realise but in the 5 or so years in between,White is now renamed White Clay so the White I purchased is a very bright “true” white. The finish is lovely, very matte and after it’s been on the walls a few days it is wipeable and seems hardwearing. The only downside we found was the coverage was not as good as the Claypaint, the Lifestyle emulsion is thinner. The 2.5 litre tin was only just enough (and half the walls are tiled). Did a mist coat as new plaster and then needed three more coats on top. The tin is almost empty which is difficult as touch ups will needed after the room is finished. So in hindsight I would have purchased the White Clay in a 5litre tin, but it still looks nice and I’m happy with the result
