EcoPro Silicate Masonry Paint is a highly durable mineral paint that dries to a classic, matt finish. Being highly breathable yet water repellent it offers an alternative to traditional lime based and conventional coatings. The Ecopro Silicate Paint System requires all surfaces to be primed with a single coat of Ecopro Silicate Primer followed by two coats of Ecopro Silicate Masonry Paint (first coat must be diluted with 10-20% Ecopro Silicate Primer, Read: Why do I need to use Earthborn Silicate Primer? (opens in new tab)) . The paint and primer products form a chemical bond with underlying materials to create a water and weather-resistant barrier while remaining water vapour permeable which enables the building to breathe. “The WHITE delivered was WHITE (could be said brilliant white rather) indeed. Whereas on swatch strip it was slightly yellowish, more like magnolia. Maybe the swatch print wasn’t ideal, but how I could verify it? For me, as a first buyer it is hard to tell unknown colours other way than by match with a swatch sent directly from Earthborn themselves. Personally, I think that fault is on Earthborn side.”

“Bought the primer and white paint which has been really easy to apply. The white is very white, brilliant in fact. It has taken more than the recommended two coats to fully cover the render ensuring it does not grin through. Would use again”

“Recently bought the silicate paint 2038-A which from the website appears as a terracotta type colour however, when applying it dries to what is more accurately described as a light pink, especially in bright light. I'm used to slight variations in actual versus sample colours but this is quite extreme. Earthborn do state to ask for a colour card which I didn't so I'm not sure whether this would provide a more accurate representation. Primer and paint haven't yet been put through any real weather test but look as though they should hold up well.”
