“I bought white woodstain hoping that it would actually turn the painted wood white. I might as well have bought transparent varnish for the effect that I got. And no, it wasn't that the pigment had sunk to the bottom (well stirred), or that you need at least three coats for the effect, or that the wood was too dark to show it (untreated pine). Still transparent, and I am very miffed!”
