Washable Wall Paint - White Auro 524 Plantodecor is a natural and non toxic washable emulsion paint for walls and ceilings with great covering power. Ideal for high traffic areas, kitchens and bathrooms, and commercial projects. The Auro 524 is their most recent washable white emulsion recipe and replaces the Auro 324. The 524 is a superior product; it dries quicker, is more durable and covers better. It has a brand new natural plant based binder - Replebin® - holding pigment and paint together better than ever. This Auro Plantodecor natural washable emulsion paint is a premium product and a big step up from the older standard eco emulsion Auro 321. Auro 524 has an Abrasion class of 1 while Auro 321 has an Abrasion class of 3 (the lower the number the more "scrubbable" the cured paint is). Auro 524 is a vegan paint that is natural and completely cruelty free. It contains extra natural oils, making this paint resistant to wet washing and scrubbing. Thanks to Auro's ecological choice of raw m...

We love Auro paint and have already used 60 litres of white with great success in a new room and it covers well, has no odour and is wipeable. I've already written a review on that. However, this review is for 4 sample pots which I chose based on the new Auro colour card. The reason for only 4 stars for these is that one of them - Silver Birch - bears no resemblance whatsoever to the colour chart and the other three are not closely matched (although they are all off whites). My tester looked pale pink (my chosen colour) on the colour chart but turned out very grey for real. I understand that the colour cards are printed rather than real colour but for the price of this paint I am unhappy: as a customer, I would need to buy more samples than I would expect to, just to get close to the colour I want if the colours are so misrepresented on the card. I raised the issue both with Celtic and Auro. Celtic staff told me that they have painted blocks of colours on their walls. I suggest that it's worth calling them to get an idea of the real colours on the chart. Auro understandably explained that printing is not easy to get accurate and it is costly to produce real paint charts. I suggested to them that they should produce information that groups colours in primary and secondary palettes. If that had been done, then my Silver Birch would have been grouped with greys rather than pink/reds (I never take any notice of colour names). Auro is fantastic paint. We have used many eco and breathable paints and find it superior. However, to gain custom in a competitive market, the company must invest in its colour charts and related information, thus helping customers to choose true colours without wasting too much money and time in getting accurate colour representation.

We spent a lot of time testing and considering different breathable paints, and have previously used Earthborn to great effect. However we wanted a more durable paint for a kitchen area whilst still retaining the eco benefits. Having tried testers - whites - we took the plunge and ordered 50 litres of white Auro 524 for a huge vaulted kitchen extension. It goes on really well with a roller and brush with a thick consistency (not as thick as Claypaint) and no smell. Brushes wash easily. After a mist coat, two further coats on new plaster seem to be fine. We haven't lived in the room yet so cannot attest to how easily daily marks can be cleaned but it seems to 'scrub' well. The white colour is not too stark - worth testing on a piece of white paper to see its colour quality.

We have used this paint on brand new plaster and on lime plaster. It goes on lime plaster brilliantly. It does take a few more coats on new regular plaster. We have found it needed roughly four coats. However, it is a brilliant shade of white and we love it against the beams in our property.

Very white! I have just painted three rooms in a new house, i used up some Crown matt which was almost yellow in comparison, then a pot of Lakeland trade matt which was ok but needed three-four coats. The Auro was wonderful, it goes on beautifully, covers really well and gives a really professional, ice white, matt finish in two easy coats. Just about to order 10 more litres. Recommended for very bright rooms.

Bought to paint new lime plaster. Best done 48 hours after lime plastering done so that the plaster isnt too dry. Has some flaking where old paint met new plaster and this auro paint, but overall very pkeased.
