With its intricate hand-finished wood-effect surface the Barrique water-butt is a very popular choice. The wood grain effect was even moulded from a real, oak beer barrel -- achieving a level of likeness to the real thing that will amaze! Whilst, of course, being rot-proof and ever so practical. It is an ideal choice for all types of gardens and patios. The Barrique is produced from high-grade Polyethylene. The Barrique also has a removable child-proof lid (secured by supplied security screw) allowing the dunking of watering cans directly into the water butt. For this water butt, we recommend connecting the water-butt to your down-pipe with the  Filter Collector Universal. “The barrel is solidly built with a well fitting lid which though is easy to remove to dip a watering can which is much quicker than using the good quality brass tap. There is a drain plug at the base should you wish to drain the barrel. Aesthetically the barrique is quite attractive. I found the recommended diverter easy to fit and a step up in quality to typical cheap products. I have no doubt that the supplied products will give years of service.”

“We bought this more than a year ago. It was easy to install, is still working well and looks good. The brass tap hasn't weathered and is still water tight. Capacity is less than some standard water butts as it doesn't have a raised plinth so about a quarter of the water cannot be drained off as the tap is positioned high enough to allow a watering can to be placed underneath.”

“I was looking for a water butt to catch the water from the garage roof. I wanted it to last, be maintenance free and look good as I look onto my garden from my house. It arrived quicker than expected and the driver delivered the light but large package to where I wanted it. The colour is as pictured on line, the barrel looks smart and I know it will not loose this look being plastic. The brass tap is quality and easy to use. It is just the right height without raising the butt to fill a watering can. I got a neighbour to connect the butt to the garage drain pipe for me as I don't have any tools - he managed this very quickly which was just as well as it started to rain heavily with the reasuring gentle sound of the butt filling up. The lid is securely fitted but light and easy to remove. I have placed a potted alpine strawberry plant on top which with its trailing runners down the barrel looks great. Delighted with my purchase”
