Should you need to do some repair work before getting down to painting, Earthborn Casein Filler is the perfect complement to Earthborn environmentally friendly wall and ceiling paints. Our Casein Filler is based on the natural milk protein casein and white lime which uses less energy to make because being titanium dioxide free. This means it has a smaller carbon footprint than most other fillers. Suitable for interior or exterior use, it is water repellent yet breathable. Supplied in powder form for mixing as required, you can even create coloured filler by mixing it with your choice of Earthborn Pigment. Drying Time 4 – 8 hours. Sand after 8 hours. “We are renovating our late 17th century cottage with fully breathable products. This is great for filling small cracks and holes, and also we find it good for smoothing over patches of lime plastering that we haven’t managed to get much of a smooth finish on. It goes on well, and is easily sanded down to get rid of any lumps!! Does the trick for us well.”

“I used the Earthborn casein for fine cracks in new lime plaster & it was easy to apply (an old credit card worked well) & to get a smooth finish that will need little or no sanding.”

“Takes a bit of getting used to instead of using a normal filler, but we needed to use something breathable in our old property. Once you’ve got the knack though it’s easy to work with and rubs down to a nice finish”

“Very easy to mix and use as long as it’s not applied in too thick a coat. Sands well leaving a nice smooth finish.”
