Sedum is a large genus of flowering outdoor Succulents commonly known as Stonecrop, which fall into two categories: low growing sedum and upright sedum. They come in a wide variety of heights, colours and forms. They have thick fleshy leaves and typically produce tiny star-shaped flowers that often bloom late in their growing season.
Sedums are very low maintenance evergreen plants and are perfect in patio pots, borders or in rock gardens planted on their own or in groups with other plants such as Irises, Kniphofia and Ornamental Grasses. They flower during the Summer and Autumn months and attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects to your garden.

Beautiful variety of plant heights and habits here: leaves are exquisite and colours varied. The clumps divide if needed. I've placed these ones, temporarily, on top of the big pots of bulbs I have planted by the main door. I'm surprised at how quickly they have 'settled' and plumped up: this may be due to location in a warm corner of the property and, maybe, my home-made, organic, free-draining compost.

The picture shows abundant coloured sedum. All I got was green.
