In my experience these bags either last months or years (10+ in one of my boats) The big thing to watch out for are kids and animals. If you have either I'd cover the bags with a camping mat to provide a little extra protection. For the ultimate alternative (I've had mine for a couple of years and no signs of adverse wear yet) - you could try a CanoeKit bag, but at more than twice the price you need to be convinced your bags are going to be treated badly.

“Got these to replace a cheaper brand that failed. Good well made and easy to inflate. The airbags fitted perfectly in our canoe and were easy to lash in. Really happy with these - might be a bit pricer than other brand but they are sturdy and well made and should last for years!”
