Facing a long summer in the garden, we took the plunge and decided to invest in this following some hearty recommendations from John at Calido and previous reviews. What a lovely piece of kit. First impressions are of very high quality (which you would hope for given price). Easy to assemble, great control of temperature using air flow control when cooking and an easy change over to wood burning stove. Lovely warm heat on a spring evening, great atmosphere from the flames as dark descends and no moans from me about the smoke getting in my eyes from the old fire pit. Relatively easy to wheel around on the flat but it is very heavy so be warned if, like us, you cannot get it delivered to the area/level you want it on and need to move it over chips/different levels (this is not a criticism of either Calido or the stove as delivery was as good as possible in our circumstances but if it will be an issue for you you may need to consider the additional set up support available). Looking forward to many enjoyable evenings and years of use. Delivery was very prompt - excellent service from Calido as usual.

Absolutely brilliant both for heat and cooking on. We love it.

Very good at both functions. Have used with logs for heat and although had a bit of an issue with the glass blackening, it cleaned up fine and haven’t had a repeat of it. Also, I roasted a pork leg for 6 hours over the weekend with great results. Adjustable heating took a bit of getting used to, but good results and would highly recommend.

I have been coveting this for a few years. Under the circumstances, we will not be taking any holidays or going out for meals for the summer, so this seems a very good investment. It was easy to set up and we were grilling within a few hours as well as enjoying the wood burner as the evening closed in. Home for the holidays!

The Chesneys Heat and Grill is a beautifully made outdoor stove with the added benefit of having a bbq grill on top, the stove functions perfectly, my wife and i used it at night during the glorious recent weather and we were able to sit round it until it got dark which isn't bad for April. Don't expect this to heat you like an indoors log burner as it has nothing to reflect off of outdoors but it will keep the chill of a cool night away. All in all its a great piece of kit.

John told us this was amazing when we first enquired and he wasn't wrong. We've had a gas BBQ for years but we wanted to go back to charcoal as its more environmentally friendly and food tastes better off it! We also wanted to replace a smokey firepit on our decking as we were sick of smoke in our eyes every time we used it. The Heat and Grill looked to tick both boxes, a BBQ and heater all in one. The Heat and Grill although smaller than the other Chesneys BBQ models is still plenty big for us. We've used it a number of times now and we love it. Once done cooking we stick on two or three logs and it gives out great heat. Because it has a door and a chimney it's no where near as smokey as our old fire pit and we're finding the logs are burning way longer too. We didn't really consider it at the time of purchase but because it's all closed in the Heat and Grill is much safer on our decking than our fire pit which is a bonus. I wish we'd bought one years ago!
